hiring event: Tuesday May 6, 2025

Apply for concessions and lifeguard positions IN-PERSON at the Karns Lions Pool on Tuesday May 6, 2025. Fill out an application and chat with our managers. This is our 2nd and final hiring event this season.

Where: Karns Lions Pool 6618 Beaver Ridge Rd

When: 

• May 6, 2025 5:30-7pm

Bring with you: 

• Regular availability for weekly scheduling
• Any dates/times you won't be available to work (doctor appointments, vacations, sports practice, etc)

All applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.  

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve food items while adhering to safety and health regulations.
• Ensure the concession area is clean and well-maintained, which includes washing dishes and performing end-of-day cleaning routines.
• Follow the directions and instructions provided by the manager efficiently.
• Cash register management including entering orders, handling cash and card payment, and providing change. 
• Assemble orders with efficiency and accuracy. This will be VERY fast paced during peak hours. 

Requirements:

• Minimum age requirement: 14 years old.
• Ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
• Commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards.
• Capability to stand for extended periods and handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting supplies and moving safely in a compact space.
• Punctuality and reliability are a must. 

Schedule:

• Operational Hours: Monday to Saturday, 10 AM - 6 PM; Sunday, 1 PM - 6 PM.
• Flexibility in scheduling is available; however, adherence to scheduled shifts is required. Multiple unexcused absences or last minute schedule changes may be grounds for dismissal. 
• Employees scheduled to close will be expected to stay approximately 15-30 minutes post-closing for necessary clean-up and to secure food storage.
• Most concessions positions are part-time.

Compensation:

• Starting wage: $8/hour.

Responsibilities:

• Vacuum the main pool and the baby pool each day before the pool opens.
• Follow the directions and instructions provided by the manager.
• Retrieve and connect pool cleaning equipment at the start of your shift, and disconnect and store equipment at the end of shift.

Requirements:

• Minimum age requirement: 14 years old.
• Commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards.
• Capable of being your feet and moving around the pool for extended periods and handle the physical demands of the job, including reaching, bending and lifting. 
• Punctuality and reliability are a must. 
• Must be able to swim.

Schedule:

• Pool will be cleaned for 2 hours each day before opening. 
• Work hours 8am-10am Monday-Saturday and 11am-1pm Sunday.

Compensation:

• Starting wage: $10/hour.
