Private After Hours Parties
Private parties can be booked from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Tuesday through Sunday.
Party Pricing for 2024: Based on all attendees, not just swimmers
Book In-Person Cash Price
- Up to 30 people: $280
- 31 to 75 people: $310
- 76 to 100 people: $400
- 101 to 150 people: $485
- 151 to 200 people: $600
- Over 200 people: $700
A 3% service fee applies to all in-person credit card transactions.
No debit cards accepted at the pool.
Online Self-Booking Price
- Up to 30 people: $288.82
- 31 to 75 people: $319.77
- 76 to 100 people: $412.30
- 101 to 150 people: $500.10
- 151 to 200 people: $618.25
- Over 200 people: $721.40
Online self-book includes a convenience fee, not greater than our cost of acceptance.
Food and Decor Guidelines:
- Outside food and drink are allowed, but no cans, glass (including serving dishes), or alcohol. Having alcohol will result in immediate termination of the party with no refund.
- The concession stand is not open during parties.
- No confetti or water balloons. Only use painter's or masking tape for decorations; no scotch or box tape.
Setup can begin around 6:15 PM after lifeguards finish cleaning.
Booking and Cancellation:
- No refunds for cancellations within two weeks of the reserved date.
- Weather related cancellations: Consult with a pool manager by 5pm on the day of your party to receive a refund. No refunds will be issued if you choose to proceed and the party is affected by weather. Management also reserves the right to cancel for severe weather.
Canopy Reservations During Regular Hours
Reserve our 10x20 canopy with two picnic tables in the grassy area for your exclusive use.

During Your Event:
- Regular admission fees still apply for all attendees. Consider purchasing a 10-visit punch card at a discount for easier entry.
- The canopy is reserved exclusively for your use during the 3-hour slot. You may arrive at the pool early or stay later, but the canopy access is limited to your booked slot only.
- Outside food and drink are welcome, but please no cans, glass, or alcohol.
- For smooth entry, please bring a list of guests whose admission you'll cover. Our gate staff will check this list as guests arrive. Guests not on the list will need to pay their own admission.
Booking and Cancellation:
- Book online at least 1 week in advance. You may book anytime in person.
- Cancellations can't be made online within 2 weeks of the reserved date. You may contact the pool directly to cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before your booking.
- Full refunds are issued if the pool closes for severe weather before your reserved time (check our Facebook for updates).
Small Canopy Rental Option
A smaller 10'x10' canopy will be available each day, first-come, first-served. Cash price is $25 (+3% credit card service fee). Not available to pre-book. No tables included.
Daycares & Summer Camps
Daycares and summer camps may schedule trips to the Karns Pool. Please text Karen at 865-216-5437 for more information and to reserve dates and times.
Pool SAFETY & COURTESY Rules
- Outside food and drink is allowed.
- NO glass or cans. Glass shatters and cuts bare feet. Pull top tabs from cans cut feet and also end up in our skimmers. Flattened cans in grass cut bare feet. Cans left in grass may be missed and mowed over, spraying the area with metal shards. Again, bare feet.
- No alcohol. No exceptions.
- We reserve the right to check all coolers for compliance with rules.
- Small doughnut floats allowed, but no oversize or lounge floats. 3 feet max diameter. Baby and toddler floats are allowed. Floats can obstruct lifeguards' view and present a safety hazard, so float usage may be limited at the discretion of pool managers or lifeguards on busy days.
- Follow all instructions from lifeguards, pool employees, or Karns Lions Club members.
- Only 1 person on each diving board at a time.
- Only one bounce on board.
- You may jump or dive off the board only after previous person has reached the edge of the pool.
- Adults may not catch children from diving board.
- Exit the deep end after your turn on the board. No hanging out in the deep end. No sitting on the edges of deep end.
- No swimmies (water wings) on diving board or slides. You may use life jacket with a crotch safety strap to prevent pulling over head. Puddle jumpers that buckle across chest OK on slide only (not diving board).
- No hanging on divider ropes.
- No running or horseplay.
- No loud music.
- Ensure the gate to the splash pad area is closed after entry or exit.
- Swimwear must be appropriate for a family pool.
- No smoking/vaping inside the pool area. There is a designated smoking spot in front of the building.
- The pool will be evacuated if thunder or lightning are detected nearby and will remain closed for 30 minutes after the last detection. Did you know electrical charges can linger in clouds for 30 minutes? Lightening can also travel up to 25 miles. It isn't safe to remain in open spaces. It's safest to shelter indoors or in a vehicle. The playground is also not safe when lightening is nearby.
- Do not urinate or defecate in the pool. Swim diapers are required for those who need them and are available for purchase at the concession stand.
- Only ADA service animals are permitted within the pool area. No emotional support animals.
- Picnic tables are to be shared and can't be claimed for birthday parties.
- For birthday parties during regular hours, feel free to set up a blanket or your own 10x10 max canopy in a grassy area. A 10x20 canopy, including 2 tables, can be reserved for a fee of $50.

Karns Lions Playground Temporarily Closed Sat Nov 23
For everyone's safety, the playground will be temporarily closed until approximately 2pm on Saturday Nov 23, 2024 for cleaning and maintenance.
Volunteers welcome if you'd like to lend our club volunteers a hand. We start at 9am.
